Dropped/Flipped Spindles

$275 (plus Return Shipping)

The OG deal, 3 1/2″ Dropped/Flipped spindles like people have been running since the early 80’s, but mine have many, many updates. We can do better than the 80’s here, ha, ha.

You send me your spindles and I do the following, for $275…

- Break down the spindles, clean, inspect with factory fixtures.
- Media blast all components.
- Clean up/chase ALL threads.
- Clearance carriers.
- Weld gussets to carriers.
- Reverse taper for Bay tie rod ends.
- Worn king pins are repaired and all new bushings reamed.
- Press spindles back together w/ new seals.
- Paint black.
- Install NEW grease fittings and NEW kingpin retaining bolts.
- …and a few other little things other builders don’t bother doing.

I can machine for lower thrust washer and grease seal for additional $25 (as pictured above).  I don’t recommend this modification due to possible safety issues… but hey, it’s your $$ and your ass.

**Please note: No link pin parts are covered in the rebuild. If you need/want link pin shims, races, pins, etc… there will be an additional cost. Also, if any king pins are worn beyond repair there will be an additional cost for OG replacements or new king pins. This really doesn’t happen very often (more common with early spindles), but is worth mentioning so there are no surprises on your end.**

**My turn around time is usually 5-7 business days, but please figure on a two week wait.  Will it seriously take me that long to get them done?  No, I’m just trying to cover my ass in case the volume of werk in the shop will be heavy since reopening.**

Core exchange program available, so your Bus isn’t stuck up in the air waiting for your spindles to return.

Email for details as this depends on what cores I currently have in stock. $150 core charge for ‘55-’63 spindles and $250 for ‘64-’67 spindles.

Hands down the most complete offsets you can buy.  Shock mounts, all hardware and cable spacers are included.

Off-set plates allow you to install a long axle trans from a ‘68 Type I or  pre ‘67 Type III in your Bus, thus eliminating
the reduction boxes and achieving a 3.5″ or more reduction in ride height.

All you need to do is install the off-set plates and swap the Bus nose cone and hockey stick over to the new trans.
Other than that it’s a straight bolt on procedure.

Shock mounts DO NOT require you to cut off the stock mount on the axle tube end casting! I don’t sell anything that requires a hack like that!

Send me your spring plates and for $200 I will make them into off-set plates w/ shock mounts, media blast, paint and include axle to spring plate mounting hardware, hardware for the shock mount and a pair of e-brake cable spacers.  Buyer responsible for return shipping.

** E-Brake cable spacers, Shock Mounts and Hardware included at no additional cost!**

Available outright for $300.  This price includes $100 core charge. Send me back your core spring plates and I refund the core charge.

-Cores must be straight and not heavily rusted/pitted.

-Turnaround time usually 2-4 business days.
